Please introduce yourself...
Howdy, we're Jerona Fruits
What have been the highlights of 2009 for you?
Some great albums have been out this year: Sub Focus, Alix Perez, Moodswings on Spearhead. A really good year for drum & bass musically.
What have been the highlights of the decade for you?
The birth of Jerona fruits near the start of the decade was a BIG one. Otherwise, great clubs, such as Fabric, The End all managing to thrive for most of the decade and manage to survive. Drum & bass hitting the mainstream slightly to inject some money into the scene was nice. People actually 'getting' our podcasts was great too, a bit of light relief in the drum & bass world.
How have things changed for you over the last ten years?
Well, obviously, the decline of vinyl sales was a big issue over the latter years of the noughties. It has made a big difference to us, and although it has made it a lot easier to release music now as mp3s, it also has made it a lot easier to pirate the music so sales have diminished considerably. Hopefully in the next decade they'll figure out a way of protecting everyone against piracy and things can start to improve again.
What have you been doing recently?
Recently, we've been concentrating on our podcasts and uploading them to our MySpace page and this has recently got us spotted to fill in a few slots on 1Xtra while Bailey was away, watch this space. With the label we have been mainly doing digital releases this year but have had some great releases from Madcap, Ascension, Matt Domino, Andy Skopes, Mijatoho, Zodiak and The Burbs.
Which artists should we look out for in 2010?
The Burbs, who are Ash & Si Jerona's new production outfit. Their debut release this year was on Hospital's acclaimed 'Sick Music' album and they have also signed tracks with 31 Records, Brand:Nu, Diverse Products and, of course, Jerona Fruits. Things are looking great for the boys and their sound is improving every day so expect bigger and better things from them!
What are your plans for 2010?
We may have a new label up our sleeve but you'll have to figure out which one it is when the time comes. Maybe an album too and hopefully a return to vinyl for JF pretty soon
What are you most looking forward to in 2010?
The Burger King that they're gonna put near my house.

Gonna try and make this a regular feature, these are the type of spam emails we get these days. Random stupid sentences just chucked in there for good measure. Love going through my junk mail inbox these days...
